About the Staff

My name is Terri Lathe.  I graduated from Johnson State College in 1989 with a BA in Education.  I have three endorcements on my teaching license.  I am licensed to work in early childhood situations, elementary school, and kindergarten through high school special education.

My first teaching experience was at Eden Central School in Eden, VT as a special educator.  Two years later I moved to the Irasburg Village School at a Title 1 para educator.  Next, I worked at the Winston Prouty Center, in Brattleboro with 15 month to 3 year olds for two years.  After that I worked at Newfane Elementary School as a one-on-one para educator.  I was then fortunate to be hired at Community House where I remained for 12 years.  Currently, I am working at Twin Valley High School in the Individual Education Center, and have been here since 2008.  I can be reached at 464-5255 extension # 115.  My email address is  tlathe@tvhs.k12.vt.us.  Email is a really good way to reach me if you need to be in touch.

On a personal note, my favorite author is V.C. Andrews.  My favorite movie is Last of the Dogmen. I LOVE chocolate of any kind.  My favorite foods are ribs, pizza, lasagna, butternut squash, and fresh pineapple.  I like several colors, such as shades of pink, purple, and green.  I'm not a big fan of sports, but I do enjoy studying martial arts.  My favorite quote, Everything Happens for a Reason.

For the 2016-2017 school year, I will be teaching Concept Math, Earth Science, English, World Literature, World History, and Writing.

I expect my students to come to school ready to learn and always do their best.  Students need to respect themselves, staff, and peers.  I expect my students to complete their work in a timely manner, and make up any work missed due to being absent.

Here I am ready and waiting to help you throughout the day.

Toby comes to school daily to bring a smile to everyone's face.  He is a 3 year old Golden-doodle.   Toby has completed Beginner, Canine Good Citizen, and Therapy Dog training. He enjoys hiking, playing in the backyard, and chasing the cats.  Toby loves dog biscuits, oranges, and just about anything crunchy!

Ms. Chamberlain will be with us this year.
